Noel Gallagher is an English singer, songwriter and guitarist best known as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Oasis. Born in Longsight, Manchester, he rose to fame in the 1990s as part of the Britpop movement, penning many of the band’s biggest hits including “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Live Forever.” After Oasis disbanded in 2009, Gallagher formed Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, releasing several successful solo albums that continued his reputation for melodic, anthemic songwriting. Throughout his career he has remained one of the most influential figures in British guitar music.
