Bio

Robin Williams was an American actor and comedian born in Chicago in 1951. He first gained national attention playing the alien Mork on the television series Mork & Mindy before transitioning to a prolific film career that included roles in Good Morning, Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, and Mrs. Doubtfire. In addition to his screen work, Williams released several stand-up comedy albums and appeared on numerous television specials. His performances earned him an Academy Award, multiple Grammy Awards for comedy recordings, and a lasting reputation as one of the most inventive comic voices of his generation. Williams died in 2014.
