Marracash, born Fabio Rizzo on 22 May 1979 in Nicosia, Sicily, is an Italian rapper and songwriter. He emerged in the early 2000s as part of the Milan rap scene and gained wider recognition with his 2008 self-titled debut album. Over the following decade he became one of Italy’s most commercially successful and critically respected hip-hop artists, known for introspective lyricism and collaborations with both domestic and international acts. His work spans traditional hip-hop, trap, and singer-songwriter styles, often reflecting personal and social themes. Albums such as “Status” (2016) and “Persona” (2019) topped the Italian charts and earned multiple certifications, while singles like “Bravi a cadere” and “La tipa del tipo” further solidified his mainstream presence. Marracash continues to release music and perform across Italy and Europe.
