Charly Black is a Jamaican dancehall artist from May Pen, Clarendon, known for blending dancehall with pop and R&B influences. He rose to international attention with the 2016 single "Gyal You a Party Animal," which became a global hit and earned multi-platinum certifications. His style fuses energetic rhythms, catchy hooks, and party-oriented lyrics typical of modern dancehall. He has collaborated with artists including Daddy Yankee, J Capri, and Konshens, and released projects such as the mixtape "No Heart Badness" and singles on the P2S Records label. Black continues to release dancehall tracks aimed at both Caribbean and international audiences.
