Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band formed in Ajax, Ontario in 1996. The group rose to prominence in the early 2000s with a high-energy blend of pop-punk, punk, and skate-punk that earned them a global following. Over the course of their career they released multiple platinum-certified albums and singles, toured extensively, and became known for their irreverent humor and socially conscious lyrics. The band announced their retirement in 2024 and disbanded in early 2025.
