Bio
The Neptunes are an American record production duo formed in Virginia Beach in 1990 by Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams. They rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, crafting hit singles for artists such as Britney Spears, Jay-Z, and Justin Timberlake. Their signature sound—minimal, futuristic beats paired with crisp percussion—helped define the pop and R&B landscape of the era. The pair also released their own album, In Search Of…, under the N.E.R.D. moniker. The Neptunes disbanded in 2024 following the death of Pharrell Williams.
