Mike Francis (born Michele Francesco Puccioni, 26 April 1961 – 30 June 2009) was an Italian singer, songwriter and composer from Florence. He rose to prominence in the mid-1980s with a string of smooth, English-language pop and adult-contemporary hits such as "Let Me In" and "Survivor," which enjoyed strong airplay across Europe and the Philippines. Beyond his solo work, Francis contributed as a composer and producer for other Italian artists and occasionally recorded under the pseudonym Mike Francis Project. His polished tenor voice and sophisticated arrangements made him a staple of Italian soft-pop radio throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Francis continued to release albums and perform live until shortly before his death from cancer in Rome at the age of 48.
