Joe "Bean" Esposito is an American singer and songwriter born on May 5, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York. He is best known for his contributions to film soundtracks, including the hit single "You're the Best" from The Karate Kid (1984) and "Lady Lady Lady" from Flashdance (1983). Esposito has also worked as a backing vocalist for artists such as Donna Summer and has released solo albums in the pop and rock genres.
