Ana Torroja is a Spanish singer born in Madrid in 1959. She rose to prominence as the lead vocalist of the influential pop band Mecano, which achieved widespread success across the Spanish-speaking world during the 1980s and early 1990s. Following Mecano's disbandment, Torroja launched a solo career, releasing several albums that blend latin pop with elements of electronic and acoustic styles. Her work has maintained a significant following in Spain and Latin America.
