2NE1 is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment in 2009. The quartet—CL, Dara, Bom, and Minzy—quickly rose to prominence with their bold fashion, powerful performances, and genre-blending sound that fused hip-hop, electronic, and pop elements. Their debut single "Fire" and follow-up "I Don’t Care" both topped Korean charts, establishing them as one of the leading acts of the second-generation K-pop wave. Internationally, 2NE1 expanded their reach with English-language tracks and appearances on global platforms, while hits such as "Lonely," "I Am the Best," and "Falling in Love" showcased their versatility. After Minzy’s departure in 2016, the remaining members continued until the group’s official disbandment in 2016, leaving a lasting influence on K-pop’s performance aesthetics and girl-group concepts.
