Bio
The HU is a Mongolian folk metal band formed in Ulaanbaatar in 2016. The group blends traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat singing with heavy rock and metal, creating a distinctive sound they call "hunnu rock." Their lyrics are primarily in Mongolian and often draw on themes of Mongolian history and culture. The band gained international attention with their 2018 single "Yuve Yuve Yu," which went viral online. They released their debut album "The Gereg" in 2019, followed by "Rumble of Thunder" in 2022. The HU have toured extensively worldwide and collaborated with artists including Papa Roach and William DuVall of Alice in Chains.
