Bio
Mirwais Ahmadzaï, known professionally as Mirwais, is a French electronic musician and producer born in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1960. He first gained recognition in the 1980s as the frontman of the French new-wave band Taxi Girl before transitioning to a solo career focused on electronic music. Mirwais is best known for his production work with Madonna on her albums Music (2000) and American Life (2003), which helped popularize the French house and electroclash sounds of the early 2000s. His own releases, including the albums Production (2000) and 2016's 2016, blend big beat, synth-pop, and experimental electronic elements.
