DJ Deeon

Bio

DJ Deeon was a Chicago-based producer and DJ whose career spanned the rise of house music in the 1990s through the emergence of footwork in the 2000s. He was known for blending classic Chicago house rhythms with the faster, syncopated beats of footwork and the bass-heavy energy of Miami bass, helping to shape the sound of the city’s underground dance scene. Active on labels such as Dance Mania, he released numerous singles and EPs that became staples in Chicago clubs and later influenced a new generation of producers. His work bridged the gap between the city’s foundational house sound and the evolving styles that followed, leaving a lasting mark on electronic music both locally and internationally.
