Bio
Owl City is the stage name of Adam Young, an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born July 5, 1986, in Owatonna, Minnesota. He began recording music in his parents' basement and gained international recognition with the 2009 single "Fireflies," which topped charts in several countries. Young writes, performs, and produces nearly all of his material himself, blending synth-pop, electronic, and indie elements. Subsequent albums such as "All Things Bright and Beautiful" (2011) and "The Midsummer Station" (2012) continued his commercial success, while later releases explored both pop-oriented and more introspective directions.
