Bio

Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic is an American musician, comedian, and actor best known for his humorous parodies of popular songs. Born in Downey, California, in 1959, he began releasing comedy albums in the early 1980s and quickly became a household name with hits such as "Eat It" and "Like a Surgeon." Over a career spanning more than four decades, Yankovic has earned multiple Grammy Awards and sold millions of records worldwide. Beyond parody, Yankovic is also recognized for his original comedy songs and his distinctive polka medleys that mash up current hits. He has maintained a consistent presence in popular culture through music videos, television appearances, and a 2022 biographical film, continuing to release new material and tour into the 2020s.
