The Oscar Peterson Trio was a renowned American jazz ensemble led by pianist Oscar Peterson, active primarily from the 1950s through the 1970s. The group became one of the most influential piano trios in jazz history, known for its impeccable swing, technical brilliance, and sophisticated interpretations of standards. Core members included bassist Ray Brown and drummer Herb Ellis, later replaced by Ed Thigpen.
