Bio
The Wiener Philharmoniker, founded in 1842 in Vienna, Austria, is one of the world's most prestigious orchestras. It performs a wide repertoire of classical music, including symphonies, concertos, and operas, and is renowned for its distinctive sound and technical excellence. The orchestra maintains a close association with the Vienna State Opera, where many of its members also perform. It is particularly famous for its annual New Year's Concert, which is broadcast worldwide and features music by the Strauss family and other Viennese composers.
