Yahritza y su Esencia is a regional Mexican group from Yakima, Washington, led by siblings Yahritza Martínez (vocals, accordion) and her brothers. Formed in the late 2010s, they rose to prominence with their 2022 viral hit “Soy Tu Gato” and the subsequent album Obsessed, which blended traditional sierreño with modern production. Their sound centers on sad sierreño and música mexicana, featuring raw accordion-driven arrangements and heartfelt corridos about love and heartbreak. The group has collaborated with artists such as Grupo Frontera and maintains a strong presence across streaming platforms and social media.
