Bio
Ninjaman, born Desmond Ballentine on January 20, 1966, in Annotto Bay, Jamaica, is a pioneering dancehall deejay whose rapid-fire style helped define the ragga era of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Rising to prominence with hits such as "Murder Dem" and "Test the High Power," he became known for his aggressive delivery and confrontational lyrics. Beyond his musical output, Ninjaman has also worked as an actor and has been involved in various controversies throughout his career. His influence can be heard in later generations of dancehall and jungle artists who adopted his energetic toasting technique.
