Bio

Maverick Sabre is a British-Irish singer, songwriter and rapper born in Hackney, London and raised in Wexford, Ireland. He first gained attention in the UK underground scene with raw, soul-inflected hip-hop and acoustic performances before signing with Mercury Records. His 2012 debut album Lonely Are the Brave mixed soul, reggae, folk and hip-hop and spawned the UK top-20 single “Let Me Go”. Subsequent releases such as Innerstanding (2015) and When I Wake Up (2019) continued to explore introspective, socially conscious songwriting while collaborating with producers like Fraser T. Smith and artists including Jorja Smith and Chronixx. His voice and genre-blending approach have kept him active across UK soul, reggae and alternative scenes.
