Bio
Manfred Mann was an English rock band formed in London in 1962. They achieved early success with a series of hit singles in the 1960s, including "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" and "The Mighty Quinn." The group was known for its distinctive blend of pop, R&B, and jazz influences, and for the keyboard work of its namesake, Manfred Mann. The original lineup disbanded in 1969, after which several members continued under the name Manfred Mann Chapter Three and later Manfred Mann's Earth Band. The band's catalog remains influential in the history of British Invasion-era rock music.
