Bio
George Martin (1926–2016) was a British record producer, arranger, composer, conductor, and audio engineer, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in popular music. He is best known for his long-term collaboration with the Beatles, producing nearly all of their studio recordings and shaping their sound through innovative studio techniques and orchestral arrangements. Beyond the Beatles, Martin worked with numerous other artists including Cilla Black, Gerry & the Pacemakers, and America, and composed film scores such as the James Bond entry Live and Let Die. His career spanned more than six decades, during which he earned six Grammy Awards and was knighted in 1996 for his services to the music industry.
