Bio
Peter Donohoe is a British classical pianist born in 1953 in Manchester. He studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, later winning joint second prize at the 1982 International Tchaikovsky Competition. Donohoe has performed with major orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and has recorded extensively for EMI, Chandos, and Naxos. His repertoire spans Romantic and 20th-century works with a particular focus on Russian composers. He is also active as a teacher and chamber musician.
