Ziggy Marley is a Jamaican musician and the eldest son of reggae legend Bob Marley. Born in Kingston in 1968, he rose to prominence in the 1980s as the lead singer of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, a band formed with his siblings. The group achieved international success with hits such as "Tomorrow People" and won multiple Grammy Awards for their blend of roots reggae and contemporary sounds. As a solo artist since the late 1990s, Marley has continued to explore reggae, social themes, and personal spirituality. His work often addresses issues of peace, environmentalism, and human rights, reflecting both his musical heritage and his commitment to social causes. He remains one of the most recognized figures in modern reggae music.
