Bio
Sheku Kanneh-Mason is a British cellist from Nottingham, England, who rose to international prominence after winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 2016. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music and performed at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018. His debut album, Elgar, reached number one on the UK classical charts, and he has since released recordings of works by Bach, Shostakovich, and others on Decca Classics. Kanneh-Mason is known for his expressive tone and commitment to broadening classical music’s audience through outreach and education.
