Bio
Claude Nougaro (1929–2004) was a French singer-songwriter and poet whose work blended jazz, chanson, and French pop. Born in Toulouse, he became known for his distinctive voice and poetic lyrics that often explored themes of love, social issues, and the human condition. Throughout his career, Nougaro collaborated with leading jazz musicians and released numerous albums that established him as a major figure in French music. His songs, including "Cécile," "Toulouse," and "Armstrong," remain classics of the French repertoire.
