Bio
John Williams is an American composer and conductor renowned for his film scores. Born in New York in 1932, he studied at Juilliard and began his career in television before transitioning to cinema. He has composed iconic music for the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Harry Potter franchises, as well as Jaws, E.T., and Schindler's List. Williams has won five Academy Awards and over 25 Grammys. His orchestral style blends late-Romantic traditions with modern film techniques. He served as conductor of the Boston Pops from 1980 to 1993. Williams continues to score major films into his nineties.
