Mon Laferte is a Mexican singer-songwriter born in Viña del Mar, Chile, who relocated to Mexico City and became a prominent figure in Latin alternative music. She began her career in the early 2000s and gained widespread recognition with her 2012 album "El Otro Lado de la Moneda." Known for her powerful voice and eclectic style, she blends rock, bolero, ranchera, and pop elements. Her 2017 album "La Trenza" earned a Latin Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
