Bio
Crystal Castles is a Canadian electronic music project formed in Toronto in 2006 by producer Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. The duo became known for their abrasive, lo-fi sound that combined 8-bit chiptune aesthetics with punk energy and distorted vocals. Their self-titled debut album in 2008 and follow-up (II) in 2010 established them as key figures in the electroclash and witch house scenes. After Glass departed in 2014, Kath continued the project with new vocalist Edith Frances, releasing Amnesty (I) in 2016.
