Bio
La Roux is an English synth-pop project formed in 2006 in Brixton, London. The act is fronted by singer-songwriter Elly Jackson, who initially collaborated with co-founder Ben Langmaid before continuing as a solo endeavor. The project gained international recognition with its self-titled debut album in 2009, featuring the UK number-one single "In for the Kill" and the Grammy-winning "Bulletproof." La Roux's sound is characterized by 1980s-inspired synths, sharp electronic production, and Jackson's distinctive vocals. Subsequent releases include Trouble in Paradise (2014) and Supervision (2020), maintaining the project's reputation for sleek, dance-oriented electronic pop.
