Bio
MGMT is an American psychedelic pop and indie rock duo formed in 2002 at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut by Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser. They gained international attention with their 2007 debut album Oracular Spectacular, featuring the hit singles "Kids" and "Electric Feel." The band is known for blending synth-driven psych-pop with experimental production and surreal lyricism. Subsequent releases include Congratulations (2010), MGMT (2013), Little Dark Age (2018), and Loss of Life (2024). MGMT has collaborated with artists such as Lady Gaga and has maintained a cult following for their distinctive visual aesthetic and genre-blending sound.
