Bio
Fitz and The Tantrums is an American indie pop and neo-soul band formed in Los Angeles in 2008. The group is fronted by vocalist Michael Fitzpatrick and features keyboardist James King, saxophonist Joseph Karnes, bassist John Wicks, guitarist John Meredith, and drummer Jeremy Ruzumna. Their sound blends upbeat horns, driving rhythms, and soulful vocals, drawing from 1960s R&B and modern indie influences. The band gained early attention with their 2010 debut album Pickin' Up the Pieces, which showcased their energetic live performances and catchy singles. Subsequent releases like More Than Just a Dream (2013) and Fitz and The Tantrums (2016) produced radio hits such as "The Walker" and "HandClap," establishing them as a prominent act in the indie pop scene. They continue to tour and record, known for their high-energy shows and horn-driven arrangements.
