Bio
Diana King is a Jamaican-American singer-songwriter born on November 8, 1970, in Spanish Town, Jamaica. She rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with her blend of reggae, pop, and R&B, most notably with the international hit "Shy Guy" from the soundtrack to the film Bad Boys. Her debut album Tougher Than Love (1995) showcased her distinctive voice and Caribbean influences, establishing her as a crossover artist. King continued to release music throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, including the albums Think Like a Girl (1997) and Respect (2002). She is also known for her cover of Bob Marley's "Stir It Up" and her collaborations with artists such as Sly & Robbie. Her work has been recognized for bridging reggae traditions with mainstream pop sensibilities.
