Bio
Gerard Way is an American singer, songwriter, and comic book writer best known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the rock band My Chemical Romance. Born in Summit, New Jersey in 1977, he rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with the band's breakthrough albums Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and The Black Parade. After the band's initial breakup in 2013, Way pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album Hesitant Alien in 2014. He is also recognized for his work in comics, notably creating The Umbrella Academy series.
