Travie McCoy is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper born on August 6, 1981, in Geneva, New York. He is best known as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the alternative hip hop band Gym Class Heroes, which he co-founded in 1997. McCoy gained mainstream recognition with the band's 2011 hit single "Stereo Hearts" featuring Adam Levine. Beyond his work with Gym Class Heroes, McCoy has pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album "Lazarus" in 2010. His solo single "Billionaire" featuring Bruno Mars became a major international hit, reaching the top ten in multiple countries. McCoy is recognized for blending hip hop, rock, and pop elements in his music.
