Bio

Budgie is a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff in 1967. The original lineup featured Burke Shelley on vocals and bass, Tony Bourge on guitar, and Ray Phillips on drums. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1971 and followed with several studio albums throughout the 1970s. Their early work is noted for its heavy sound and distinctive songwriting.
