Bio

Merciless (born Michael Palmer on July 1, 1971, in Chapelton, Jamaica) was a Jamaican dancehall and ragga vocalist active from the early 1990s until his death in 2022. He gained recognition for his energetic delivery and hits such as "Mavis," "Gal Fi Get Body," and "Merciless Bad Boy," which helped define the raw sound of 1990s Jamaican dancehall. Throughout his career he recorded for many of the island’s leading producers and labels, including Penthouse, Jammy’s, and Digital B, and remained a respected figure in the genre until his passing.
