Laleh Pourkarim is a Swedish singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer born in Bandar-e Anzali, Iran, on 10 June 1982. She moved to Sweden as a child and later emerged in the mid-2000s with a self-titled debut album that topped the Swedish charts and earned multiple awards. Known for writing, recording and producing most of her material herself, Laleh blends Swedish pop with folk, electronic and cinematic influences. Her subsequent releases, including the chart-topping album "Sjung" and the single "Some Die Young," have solidified her status as one of Sweden’s most successful and versatile contemporary artists.
