Bio
John Fogerty is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for Creedence Clearwater Revival. Born in Berkeley, California, in 1945, he rose to fame in the late 1960s with CCR's string of hits including "Proud Mary," "Fortunate Son," and "Bad Moon Rising," which blended rock, blues, and country influences. After the band's breakup in 1972, Fogerty launched a solo career marked by the 1985 album Centerfield, which featured the hit "The Old Man Down the Road." His work has been recognized with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Creedence Clearwater Revival, and he continues to perform and record, maintaining a reputation as one of rock's most distinctive voices.
