Bio
Shania Twain is a Canadian singer-songwriter who rose to global fame in the 1990s with a blend of country and pop music. Her breakthrough album, The Woman in Me (1995), was followed by Come On Over (1997), which became one of the best-selling albums of all time. Known for hits such as "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" and "You're Still the One," she helped bring country music to a worldwide audience. Twain was born Eilleen Regina Edwards in Windsor, Ontario, and raised in Timmins. After early struggles and a name change, she signed with Mercury Nashville and adopted the stage name Shania. Her distinctive voice, catchy songwriting, and crossover style earned her multiple Grammy Awards and widespread commercial success throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s.
