Bio
Avenged Sevenfold is an American heavy metal band formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California. The group rose to prominence with their 2005 album City of Evil and the 2007 single "A Little Piece of Heaven." Their sound blends metalcore roots with classic heavy metal, hard rock, and progressive elements. After the death of drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan in 2009, they continued with replacement drummer Brooks Wackerman. Notable releases include Nightmare, Hail to the King, and The Stage. The band has headlined major festivals and maintains a dedicated global following.
