Bio
Tracey Thorn is an English singer, songwriter and author best known as one half of the duo Everything but the Girl. Born in Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire, she first came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead singer of the post-punk band Marine Girls before forming Everything but the Girl with Ben Watt in 1982. Over a career spanning four decades, Thorn has released several solo albums alongside her work with Everything but the Girl, exploring styles from indie pop and jazz-inflected ballads to electronic and dance music. She is also an author, having published memoirs and essays that reflect on her life in music.
