Bio

Ma$e (born Mason Betha) is an American rapper and songwriter who rose to prominence in the late 1990s as a protégé of Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs. He first gained widespread recognition as a member of the Bad Boy Records collective, appearing on hits such as "Mo Money Mo Problems" and "Been Around the World." Known for his laid-back delivery and charismatic style, Ma$e released his debut album "Harlem World" in 1997, which was certified quadruple platinum. After a brief retirement from music to pursue ministry, he returned to recording in the mid-2000s and has continued to release music sporadically while maintaining a presence in both hip-hop and gospel circles.
