Bio

Paul Weller is an English singer-songwriter and musician born in Sheerwater, United Kingdom, on 25 May 1958. He first rose to prominence as the frontman of The Jam in the late 1970s and early 1980s, helping define the mod-revival sound with hits such as “Going Underground” and “Town Called Malice.” After the band disbanded in 1982, he formed the sophisti-pop group The Style Council, whose work blended soul, jazz, and political commentary. Since launching his solo career in 1991, Weller has released a series of critically acclaimed albums that draw on rock, soul, folk, and psychedelia. His songwriting often explores themes of English life, personal reflection, and social change, and he remains an influential figure in British music, known for his distinctive voice and restless artistic evolution.
