Patti Austin is an American R&B, pop, and jazz singer-songwriter born in Harlem, New York, in 1950. She began her professional career as a child performer and later became known for her smooth vocal style and work in the yacht rock and adult contemporary genres. Throughout her career, Austin has collaborated with numerous prominent artists and released several solo albums, establishing herself as a versatile vocalist in both studio and live settings.
