Bio
Happy Mondays are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1985. They were a central act in the late-1980s Madchester scene, blending rock, funk, and dance rhythms with Shaun Ryder’s distinctive vocals. Their 1989 album Bummed and the 1990 single “Step On” brought them mainstream success and helped define the baggy sound of the era. The group disbanded in 1992 after the release of Yes Please!, though members later reunited for occasional tours and recordings.
