Bio
Chet Faker is the stage name of Australian musician Nicholas James Murphy, born in Melbourne on 23 June 1988. He first gained international attention with his 2012 EP Thinking in Textures, which showcased his distinctive blend of electronic production and soulful vocals. His debut album Built on Glass (2014) reached number one on the Australian charts and earned multiple ARIA Awards. Subsequent releases include the 2015 EP Work and the 2017 album The Very Best of Chet Faker, which compiled his most popular tracks. Murphy has also released music under his own name, exploring a broader range of styles beyond the downtempo electronic sound associated with Chet Faker.
