Panjabi MC, born Rajinder Singh Rai on 14 February 1973 in Coventry, England, is a pioneering British-Indian musician known for fusing traditional bhangra with hip-hop, reggae, and electronic dance music. He first gained international attention in the late 1990s with his track "Mundian To Bach Ke," which became a global hit after being remixed and featured in various media. His work helped bring bhangra and Punjabi music to mainstream Western audiences, influencing a generation of artists in both the UK and South Asia.
