Bio
Billy F Gibbons is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known as the frontman of the rock band ZZ Top. Born in Tanglewood, Texas in 1949, he began his career in the late 1960s and rose to prominence with ZZ Top's blues-infused hard rock sound. Gibbons is recognized for his distinctive guitar tone, often achieved with a 1959 Les Paul guitar nicknamed "Pearly Gates," and his signature long beard. His solo work and collaborations further showcase his deep roots in blues and rock music.
