Peabo Bryson is an American R&B and soul singer born in Greenville, South Carolina. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s with a series of successful quiet storm and adult contemporary ballads. Bryson is particularly known for his duets, including the Grammy-winning "Beauty and the Beast" with Celine Dion and "A Whole New World" with Regina Belle, both from Disney soundtracks. His smooth tenor voice and romantic repertoire have made him a staple of quiet storm radio formats.
